I love this Birthday Balloon! It’s for my brother. I won’t tell the world how old he is, especially since he’s younger than I!! lol! But this is the PERFECT card for him. He likes adventure, and even got a pilot license once upon a time. He loves the outdoors, animals and mountains and snow. How could he NOT like this card? (even more….. He loves me, the creator!)
I knew I wanted to use the new Lift me Up stamp set and the Up and Away Thinlet dies for his card. I also thought the Sale-A-Bration item, Carried Away Designer Series Paper would be great to use, but when I realized that the bottom of this navy piece was a scene I knew it would be perfect – and VERY easy! I added a thin border of Whisper White card stock to set it off against the Tempting Turquoise card base. To attach them, I used the Liquid Glue. This is such a close border that I wanted the flexibility of “moving it around” a little. Then I used the SNAIL as usual to attach it to card base.
All the other elements of this card are just cut from scraps and any scraps you like would work!
The sentiment is taken from the stamp I used on the inside. I used a Night of Navy Stamp ‘n Write marker and just colored the word I wanted, then stamped and cut out with the die. Cleaned the stamp and did the other word, repeated process. Here’s the inside:
I added a little balloon and some clouds from the stamp set, then colored them in with the new Watercolor Pencils.
